Nurses Liability and Professional Indemnity
Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance for:
Provision of both Professional Indemnity and Public Liability
insurance with limits ranging from:
PI for Agencies: $1m to $20m
Liability for Agencies: $10m or $20m
PI for Individuals: $1m to $10m
Liability for Individuals $20m
The Agency policy will provide coverage to the entity itself
and employees of the agency. However, contracted staff
will need to take out their own individual policy as they
are not (generally) automatically covered under the Agency policy.
Whilst midwifery is excluded from the standard cover, this
policy can be extended to include these activities for an agency,
subject to an additional premium. A limited “write-back” cover
can provide cover for midwifery activities other than the actual
birth itself.
Some benefits applying to this policy include: Continuous cover
clause, Inquiry costs $200,000, Vicarious Liability for the acts
of subcontractors and consultants plus a Good Samaritan’s
clause has also been included for rendering or failing to administer
emergency first aid or assistance in public. Run-Off cover is
also available for both Agencies and Individuals.
