MGA Broker Assistants Conference in Adelaide
Over the 19th and 20th November, MGA held its 4th Broker Assistants Conference at the Intercontinental Hotel. 54 delegates saw a varied program this year with Industry legend, Frank Hoffman coming in to run a series of technical workshops. These were challenging with all delegates moving into customer services workshops in the afternoon.
In between the group activities, delegates attended break-out sessions, hearing from Chubb Insurance on their travel offering, MGA Operations/IT and Millennium General Insurance.
The gala dinner was held at the iconic Jolley’s Boathouse and was attended by sponsors, directors and various members of the MGA operations team. Tibor Godrick, State Manager of Lumley addressed the 110 dinner attendees followed by MGA Chairman, John George.
An early start the next day was the Corporate Challenge, sponsored by Allianz Insurance which had delegates racing in dragon boats on the Torrens River followed by group activities. Our guest speaker, Qantas Flight Manager, Andrew Stanisforth was sponsored by QBE Insurance. Andrew’s message was well received, taking us into our final lunch, sponsored by NTI Insurance.
Judging by the feedback this year, the 2011 has been the best ever. For next year, there is some speculation regarding the location for the Broker Assistants Conference – word is that the venue will be “quite different”.
MGA would like to thank all our supporting Sponsors including Millennium General Insurance, Lumley, Allianz, QBE, Chubb, NTI, Vero and CGU Insurance. We would also like to thank all delegates for their focus and enthusiasm and their respective Managers/Employers.
