Crop Insurance
The major risks covered by broad acre crop insurance are:
- Hail
- Fire
- Explosion
Options are available for post harvest and agreed value policies.
Additional benefits available in the market place include:
- Chemical overspray caused by spray drifting from adjoining properties not owned by you
- Damage caused by straying livestock not owned by you
- Stored seed and hay being covered for fire and perils until sowing is completed the following calendar year
- Grain and hay covered for accidental damage whilst in transit
- Extra harvest allowance where damage to an insured crop is assessed at greater than 70%
- Reducing excess benefit where the assessed loss is greater than 20%
- Replanting subsidy
