The MGI Australian Family and Private Business Survey 2013 has just been released, and may provide some interesting food for thought.

This is the eighth time this survey, which investigates the “concerns and motivations” of family and private business owners in Australia, has been undertaken.

Listed among the top findings was the fact that most businesses that fall into this category are concerned about where the future will take them.

Of those who took part in the survey, approximately 53 per cent admitted they had “concerns for the future of their business”.

Worries about the financial performance of their businesses in the coming years topped the list, with 58 per cent saying this was their biggest concern.

In addition to this, 55 per cent said they were worried about issues in their particular sectors.

This is a massive increase over the 15 per cent who admitted to having this fear back in 2003.

It’s natural to be concerned about the future of your family or private business and your industry.
