Last week, MGA Whittles Group of Companies Chairman, John George OAM, accompanied by Group Marketing Manager, Dan Porter and MGA Mt Gambier team members Alicia Elliot and Chris Fallas, attended the grand opening of the upgraded student kitchen at Mulga Street Primary School in support of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation program.
Last year, the MGA Whittles Group of Companies contributed $40,000 toward the kitchen upgrade, turning an un-used art room into a great space for teaching students’ valuable life and culinary lessons.
The student leadership group spent the morning preparing snacks for their visitors and the school staff and spoke to the group about how the kitchen and program has made a positive impact to not only their education experience, but everyday lives as well.
It was terrific to meet the students and staff and see the impact our contribution has made first hand.
