Backing the Queen of Hearts: Dawn Beaumont’s Extraordinary National Duathlon

Some challenges are about more than endurance — they’re about making a lasting difference. Dawn Beaumont, the woman behind the Queen of Hearts initiative, is taking on an incredible 20,000km duathlon across every state and territory in Australia. Over 200 days, she’ll run and ride with one clear purpose: to raise $2 million for heart health awareness and critical medical support in remote communities.

A Cause Close to the Heart

Heart disease remains one of Australia’s leading causes of death. With limited access to care in remote areas, the need for greater awareness and medical support has never been more urgent. That’s why Dawn’s mission supports two vital organisations — the Heart Foundation and the Royal Flying Doctor Service — who are working tirelessly to improve heart health outcomes and deliver life-saving services across the country.

$1 for Every Kilometre

At MGA Insurance Group, community care is at the heart of everything we do. Through the MGA Whittles Community Foundation, we’re proud to support Dawn’s journey with a $20,000 donation — $1 for every kilometre she’ll complete. It’s a symbolic gesture that reflects our belief in resilience, dedication, and helping Australians in every corner of the country.

Driven by Purpose

Departing from Adelaide on 25 February 2025, Dawn will complete a back-to-back duathlon in each state and territory — with no breaks. Alongside raising funds and awareness, her journey also contributes to medical research on the effects of extreme endurance on the human body.

Standing With Our Communities

Whether it’s supporting medical research, regional healthcare, or protecting what matters most through tailored insurance solutions, MGA Insurance Group is here to make a difference. From public liability insurance and business insurance to home and contents insurance, we’re committed to helping individuals and communities thrive.

Championing Heart Health Across Australia

Dawn Beaumont’s journey is a powerful example of courage in action — a national effort fuelled by purpose, determination, and compassion. At MGA Insurance Group, we’re proud to stand behind individuals who create meaningful change, especially when it reaches those in rural and remote areas who need it most.

Through our support of the Queen of Hearts initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting what matters — not just through insurance, but through genuine investment in the wellbeing of our communities.

Because when we come together with heart, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
